Jagan's Life Built on Lies
Amaravati ( Journalist File ) : YSR Congress party Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's recent allegations on social media are nothing but a bundle of lies, said TDP State President Palla Srinivas Yadav. In a strong rebuttal, he accused the YSR Congress Party of abandoning self-reflection and resorting to diversionary tactics through baseless allegations. Mr. Yadav questioned how Mr. Jagan, who reportedly had assets worth less than ₹2 crore in 2004, now possesses assets worth thousands of crores. He further alleged that the CBI charge sheets have clearly indicated that Jagan's father, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, engaged in excessive misuse of power for personal gain.
Mr. Yadav defended Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, stating that unlike Jagan, Naidu has been conducting legitimate businesses for decades, paying taxes and contributing to the welfare of farmers and consumers. “Why would someone like Mr. Naidu, who has transparently declared his family’s assets every year, need to resort to organized crime?” he questioned, adding that Jagan should also disclose his family's assets publicly if he has nothing to hide.
Mr. Yadav further accused the previous jagan's government of stifled press freedom, citing the instances where cable operators were pressured to block channels like ABN, TV5, and ETV during Jagan's tenure. He criticized the issuance of G.O. 2430, which he claimed curtailed media freedoms, and alleged that the government diverted public funds to the Sakshi media group. translate in teluguand alleged that the government diverted public funds to the Sakshi media group.
Addressing allegations regarding the attempted character assassination of TDP leaders, Mr. Yadav emphasized that Jagan's administration has been employing a paid social media network to attack critics and political opponents. “Jagan's social media sycophants have stooped to personal slander, even targeting the character of women,” he charged.
On the issue of the Vivekananda Reddy murder case, Mr. Yadav accused Jagan of shielding the real culprits to protect his own interests. He noted that if the case were to be fully investigated, it could lead to a life sentence for Jagan himself. He also pointed out that despite multiple cases and allegations leveled against Chandrababu Naidu by Jagan’s government, none have resulted in any convictions, proving the baseless nature of those accusations.
Concluding his remarks, Mr. Yadav asserted that Mr. Naidu stands as a symbol of development and good governance, while Jagan's administration has become synonymous with corruption, deceit, and mismanagement. He argued that the YSRCP’s tactics of spreading falsehoods and engaging in negative politics would only lead to its downfall. “The public has already expressed their discontent by limiting YSRCP to just 11 seats in the recent elections. If the party continues down this path, it is bound to sink further,” he warned.
Several TDP leaders and supporters were present during the meeting, where they echoed similar sentiments and criticized the government for its failure to protect the interests of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
