Enthralling Traditional Dance Performance at Srisailam Temple
Srisailam (Journalist File): As part of the Srisailam Devasthanam’s Dharmapatham initiative, a captivating traditional dance performance was held on Tuesday under the temple's Nitya Kalaradhana series. The event, organized by Sri Sai Krupa Kuchipudi Kalakshetram from Mahabubnagar, commenced in the evening at the Nitya Kalaradhana stage on the southern temple street.
The performance featured skilled dancers including Himabindu, Usharani, Anushree, Pallavi, Bhagyalakshmi Bhavani, Sripriya, Mamatha, and Navyasri, who presented classical pieces like Vinayaka Prarthana, Pranavakaram, Eeshagireesha Bhava... Shambho, and Shivaashtakam. Their elegant dance routines, set to melodious traditional music, captivated the audience and devotees alike.
In the second segment, Srujana and her troupe from Hyderabad delivered an impressive performance, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
The ongoing Nitya Kalaradhana program, which includes a variety of cultural presentations such as Harikatha, Burrakatha, classical dances, instrumental music, and devotional music, is aimed at preserving traditional art forms. Temple officials emphasized that these daily performances are part of the temple’s commitment to promoting cultural heritage while ensuring that all devotional services to Lord Mallikarjuna and Goddess Bhramaramba are performed with devotion and grace.
