CM Revanth Reddy Comments on Allu Arjun's Arrest, Stresses Rule of Law
Hyderabad ( Journalist File ) : Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reacted to the arrest of actor Allu Arjun in connection with the stampede at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroads, during the Pushpa 2 benefit show on December 4. Speaking to the media in Delhi, Reddy emphasized that the law will take its course in the matter and that he would not intervene in the legal process. He stated that everyone is equal before the law and that the judicial process will proceed accordingly.
The incident, which occurred during Allu Arjun's visit, led to the tragic death of a woman, Revathi, and injuries to her son, Sritej. Following a complaint from the victim's family, the police filed cases against Allu Arjun and several others. Three individuals, including the actor, have been arrested. Allu Arjun faces charges under sections BNS 118(1), BNS 105, and Redwith 3/5 of the IPC.
In response to the tragedy, Allu Arjun expressed his sorrow and announced a financial aid of ₹25 lakh for Revathi’s family. He also reassured the family of his support during this challenging time.
After his arrest, Allu Arjun was subjected to medical tests at Gandhi Hospital and later brought before the court. Meanwhile, his legal team has approached the High Court, further fueling discussions about the incident and the actor's arrest.
