Minister Savita Expresses Shock Over BC Student's Sudden Death
Amaravati ( Journalist File ): Andhra Pradesh Minister for BC, EWS Welfare, Handlooms, and Weaving, Smt. S. Savita, has expressed profound shock over the sudden death of a BC hostel student in Vizianagaram. Following the incident, she has instructed BC welfare department officials to promptly investigate and report the causes behind the student's death.
In a statement released on Sunday, Minister Savita described the tragic events surrounding the death of 12-year-old Konathala Shyamala Rao, a seventh-grade student from Ranastala in Srikakulam district. According to reports, Shyamala Rao had breakfast as usual on Sunday morning but later complained of dizziness to his fellow students before collapsing.
Upon being informed, the hostel staff rushed him to the nearby Maharaja Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Medical professionals have suggested that he may have succumbed to a heart attack, although a definitive cause will be determined following a post-mortem examination.
Minister Savita noted that the hostel staff had notified the student’s father about the tragic incident via phone. She described the death of such a promising student as a deeply saddening occurrence. Furthermore, she has ordered district BC welfare officials in Vizianagaram to provide a comprehensive report on the circumstances surrounding the death.
In her statement, Minister Savita assured that the state government would extend all possible support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
