Jagan’s Promises Fail to Convince Public : BJP Leader Bhanu Prakash Reddy
Guntur ( Journalist File ) : Bhanu Prakash Reddy, the state spokesperson for the BJP and a member of the TTD Board, launched a scathing attack on the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) during a press conference at the BJP district office in Guntur. He asserted that despite the coalition government's ongoing development and welfare initiatives, the YSRCP continues to express dissatisfaction, indicating that "while the people of Andhra Pradesh are happy with the promise of better days, the YSRCP's cadres seem to be in distress."
Reddy criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's administration for resorting to "mud politics" while the coalition government tirelessly fights for development. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to implementing its "Super Six" schemes, reaffirming their focus on progress.
He claimed that some individuals are deluding themselves with dreams of the YSRCP returning to power, while asserting that the presence of the revered Apparao Veerabhadra Swamy indicates a new era of enlightenment. Commenting on YSRCP leader Roja, he remarked that her erratic statements often leave listeners perplexed.
Addressing Jagan Mohan Reddy directly, Reddy described it as ironic for the Chief Minister to claim he would serve the public while simultaneously reducing family members to tears. He characterized Jagan’s moral posturing as ludicrous, stating that his government has devastated the lives of farmers and the general populace, resulting in widespread suffering.
"While the coalition government showers funds for the development of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan's team seems intent on destruction. Farmers, women, and laborers in Amaravati are facing severe hardships," he stated, criticizing Jagan for causing widespread turmoil.
Reddy further alleged that Jagan has annihilated not just officials but also farmers and the populace, adding, "Even before the Red Book is opened, trains are racing through the hearts of YSRCP leaders."
He claimed that Jagan Mohan Reddy is seen merely as a "sticker CM" during his tenure, while asserting that the government under Chandrababu Naidu is making significant strides in development. He mocked the YSRCP leader's plea for the status of opposition leader, questioning the lack of shame as citizens continue to express their discontent.
Referring to a recent incident involving YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu, Reddy demanded immediate action against him for allegedly violating regulations while entering a temple wearing a shirt with Jagan's image. He criticized the previous YSRCP government for politicizing Tirumala and called for investigations into past misconduct and irregularities by YSRCP leaders.
Reddy condemned the actions of Ambati Rambabu as emblematic of the chaos perpetuated by the YSRCP. He expressed concern that despite Rambabu's past actions, he appears unrepentant, questioning whether TTD staff failed to stop him at the Alipiri check post.
"If Rambabu is so fond of Jagan, he should visit Tadepalli Fort and perform circumambulations while dancing," he quipped. The meeting was also attended by other BJP leaders, including Vallaraju Jayaprakash and district in-charge Ramakrishna Reddy.
