Washington : Following the election of Donald Trump as President, significant unease has emerged within immigrant communities regarding his administration's stance on birthright citizenship. Many families, particularly those who have migrated to the United States, are worried about the potential impact on their children’s citizenship status.
Under the current law, children born in the U.S. automatically acquire American citizenship, a provision enshrined in the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
